Humanist organisations globally have a shared but also diverse history. Today there are over 120 member organisations of humanists International in just under 70 countries, all with their own challenges, successes, and different environments, but also working together through Humanists International, which was established as a global umbrella body in 1952. Join us to learn more about the global work of humanist organisations, both at international institutions like the UN, and in nations from Guatemala to India and from the US to Ghana.

Andrew Copson was appointed Chief Executive of Humanists UK in 2009 and elected President of Humanists International in 2015. He is a former director of the Religious Education Council, the Values Education Council, and the National Council for Faiths and Beliefs in Further Education. His books include the Sunday Times bestseller The Little Book of Humanism (2020) and The Little Book of Humanist Weddings (2021) with Alice Roberts; Secularism: a very short introduction (Oxford University Press, 2019); and The Wiley-Blackwell Handbook of Humanism (2015) with A C Grayling.

All are welcome to attend and there will be plenty of opportunities to put your questions to Andrew. Spaces are limited and registration is essential. To reserve a space for you and your household, please register. We will be using Zoom and a link will be emailed to you ahead of the event. Please note that the event will be recorded.
We look forward to seeing you there!
